It was such a great dinner! I completely missed taking photos beyond my pineapple-mezcal cocktail (which was sweet and spicy and delish!) Nachos, with added guac of course = omigod soooo good. Honeydew gazpacho = great flavor, a bit thicker consistency than I was expecting. Very refreshing. Sweet potato tacos = spicy, tasty goodness This spot has a great vibe. We are indoors, but the patios looked great. Service was perfect - at the bar and at our table

Phenomenal! As a vegetarian it is difficult to find good meatless options but this place has perfected the plant-based meat substitutions. The cauliflower tacos are crispy and flavorful. The nachos were the best I have ever had. Overall service is wonderful. They bring out a pitcher of mint flavored water which complements the meal well too. Will definitely be returning

I love this place! Such a good vegan option in the city. Especially loved the chips and queso and the (unpictured) drinks. They did a good job of masking the liquor taste. We loved the inside; it was really cute and open with a huge bar in the front that seemed like a good pregame spot to meet friends. The service was good from what I recall, will definitely be visiting again when back in NYC.

Had lunch at Jajaja last week and overall really loved it. The restaurant is nice and open. They have outdoor seating which is great on a nice day. Service is friendly. Food is really good! Highly recommend the guacamole although I wish it came with more than 5 chips. I also had the cauliflower bowl which was delicious but there were far too many beans and far too little of everything else. Prices aren't crazy but a bit high for the quantity provided. I'll definitely return though as the food was so good.

It's quite rare to see a vegan Mexican spot but look no further because Jajaja has got you covered. They have a pretty big menu with a variety of items ranging from tacos to salads to burritos to soups. There are many classic items you could expect to find at a Mexican place but they are all plant based! I got the cauliflower rice and black beans which was pretty good. I am not vegan but came because a friend was. Even though I definitely prefer not vegan Mexican food, I felt very healthy afterwards as I definitely got my fill of fiber and vegetables for the day. We also all shared a chips and dips order which came with three vegan dips (avocado, vegan queso cheese, and a cashew dip) The interior of the place is very cute and staff were attentive. Very good brunch vibes.

Jajaja Mexicana in the West Village is a vegan Mexican restaurant with locations across Manhattan serving punchy Mexican flavors that will have you forgetting that there's no meat or dairy on the menu. We came for a mid-week dinner and started off with the nachos which were drenched in delicious salsa and their uncannily meaty "chorizo". Mains were equally impressive and we enjoyed the chorizo burrito, chorizo gorditas, and variety of tacos (chipotle sweet potato, palm carnitas, mezcal mushroom and buffalo flower) with our favorite dishes being the buffalo flower taco and chorizo burrito. Jajaja is an all-weather restaurant that can satisfy vegan and non-vegans alike, which is no mean feat

I could've had multiple portions of both kinds of empanadas. Truly. Both kinds of empanadas were phenomenal. So much so that they stole the spotlight from the rest of the meal, including the entrées, drinks, and dessert. That being said, I still very much enjoyed the crispy pescado tacos. As a vegetarian, I appreciate when the options encompass more than just the standard veggie tacos or beans and cheese. Whatever the "pescado" was coated in was really unique. Where I was slightly disappointed was in the drinks and somewhat in the dessert. The drinks were just okay. I had the Chamo y Mezcal, and it was very watery. My partner had the frozen margarita, which was better but nothing extraordinary. I have mixed feelings about the churros. The churros themselves were super oily (which is to be expected I know as they are fried) but I personally would've liked more sugar coated on them to mask that. However, the dulce le leche cream the churros came with was absolutely amazing.

AMAZING!!! Probably one of my favorites if not my favorite food in Manhattan. It's always reliable no matter what location you are at (although I do think the West Village location is slightly superior), and the vibe is fun, lively, perfect for a group, and I always feel good everything is vegan! My go-to order are always the grande nachos that can be a meal on its own (the best nachos in the city). They're the only food item I get here because they're so perfect you can't even believe they are all plant-based. Their portions are also great too - it's perfect for sharing and can easily be split between two people. You have the choice to add avocado but it's plenty filling and enough on its own. Another huge standout are their cocktails - I would recommend their tequila sunrise - it is amazing here. Overall, if you visit you won't regret it!
